From september 15th to 17th at Grand in Stockholm, together with the Korean Cultural Center in Sweden we are thrilled to bring you 6 films from South Korea. The program includesa special program around iconic director Park Chan-Wook whose iconic thriller OLD BOY is celebrating 20 years!

A man falls from a mountain peak to his death. Hae-joon, the detective in charge, comes to meet the dead man’s wife Seo-rae. She does not show any signs of agitation at her husband’s death. With her behavior so unlike that of a grieving relative, the police consider her a suspect. Hae-joon interrogates Seo-rae, and while observing her on stakeout, feels himself slowly developing an interest in her.

1988. Oh Dae-su is kidnapped and later wakes up to find himself in a private makeshift prison. There he learns that his beloved wife was brutally murdered and that he is suspected for her murder. Fifteen years have passed and Dae-su is released with a wallet filled with money and a mobile phone. His kidnapper gives him five days to figure out why he was imprisoned if he wants to meet his daughter again.

Dagtid jobbar Eun-Ha på skroten i Busan, men på natten jobbar hon som bud för mycket ovanliga förfrågningar. När Eun-Ha ska plocka upp en klient i Seoul och hjälpa honom att fly utomlands, möter hon istället klientens desperata son som ber om hjälp. En lång jakt följer genom Busan, med ett litet barn att skydda från polisen. Enastående Park So-Dam (från filmen Parasit) spelar huvudrollen i denna fartfyllda thriller.
